Those who had started using email in the first few years of the internet revolution had probably enjoyed the first free web based email service of Hotmail. It is one of the first web mail services that offered free web based email and freed people from having to pay subscription to ISP providers in order to use email account facilities. At the time Hotmail was launched, there was no competition to its revolutionary service. Soon its millions of subscriber base were bought over by Microsoft. It was then under the MSN rand name. Today MSN Hotmail service and other services of MSN have been revamped and brought under the Live brand. Today, Hotmail is the same as Outlook which has now become a free web based email service.

You can do so by typing in the domain address of Hotmail or logging into your account through MSN website. You can alternately log in through Live mail domain or outlook.com as well. With so many options, there are many who are confused as to whether their Hotmail account exists as before. Indeed, there have been talks when Microsoft was contemplating of removing Hotmail’s existence and bringing its subscribers under its Outlook program.
